In observance of Kamehameha Day, Wednesday, June 11 there will be no Kuhio Highway Southbound contraflow and no daytime lane closure unless otherwise permitted. — KAUMUALII HIGHWAY (ROUTE 50) —
1) KIPU TO OMAO (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)
Roving lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 2.9 to 8.7 in the vicinity of Kipu Road and Omao Road, nightly from Sunday, June 8 to Friday, June 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for striping.
2) KOLOA TO LAWAI (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 6.6 to 8.7, in the vicinity of Maluhia Road and Piwai Reservoir on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. for cutting grass.
3) ELEELE
Right lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction, between mile post 14 to 16, in the vicinity of Melemele Road on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for guardrail clearing and cutting grass.
4) KAUMAKANI TO WAIMEA
Right lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) possible in either direction between mile post 19 to 22, in the vicinity of Kaumakani Avenue and Paulaula (formerly Fort Elizabeth), on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.

1) LIHUE (NIGHT WORK)
Right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in the northbound direction, between mile post 4 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Wailua Golf Course on Tuesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 12 from 1 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., for cutting grass.
2) KAPAA (WEEKEND/ NIGHT WORK)
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 8 to 9.5, in the vicinity of Akia Road to Kealia lookout, on Sunday, June 8 through Wednesday, June 11 and Thursday, June 12 to Friday, June 13 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly for resurfacing, concrete, and electrical work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
3) KEALIA
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction, between mile post 10 to 10.5, in the vicinity of Mailihuna Road and Kamole Road on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for cleaning of the concrete swale.
4) MOLOAA
Roving right lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) possible in either direction between mile post 17 to 19, in the vicinity of Kapuna Road on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for cutting grass.
5) KILAUEA (24/7 CLOSURE)
All lanes on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) remain open, however the county road, Kolo Road that intersects with Kuhio Highway is closed at the intersection. The intersection will be closed 24/7 through the first week in July 2025. To access Kilauea town, traffic is being routed to Hookui Road and Pili Road. 6) PRINCEVILLE TO HANALEI
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile post 0.3 to 1.2, between Hanalei Plantation Road and Ohiki Road, on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for pipe and gutter installation. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
7) HANALEI
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) in the westbound direction between mile post 2.7 to 3.3, between the Hanalei Post Office and Anae Road on Monday, June 9, Tuesday, June 10, Thursday, June 12, and Friday, June 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for concrete work. Alternating traffic will be routed through the open lane.
8) HANALEI TO HAENA (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

9) WAIKOKO (24/7 CLOSURE)
Single lane closure on Kuhio Highway (Route 560) possible in either direction between mile post 4.3 to 4.5, in the vicinity of Waikoko Bridge and Lumahai Trailhead, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for slope stabilization of Waikoko Hillside. 10) WAINIHA (NIGHT WORK)
